Fino Marine Inc
VISION, DESIGN, PRODUCTION
Powerboat racer Bobby Rautbord's ambition to build the world's finest sport boat inspired Walt Walters' design for the Fino 30 and led to the establishment of Fino Marine Inc in Miami, where he was joined by Anthony Azzara. The Fino 30s were built at the Magnum works in Thunderboat Row by Les Stratton, one of the foremost builders of glassfibre boats.

FAST, EXPENSIVE, DIFFERENT
The elegant 30-foot Fino hints was likely inspired by traditional timber designs from the long established Italian Riva company. The Fino was all about high performance and luxury. The hull design is strictly race boat but with with 27 degrees of deadrise to soften the ride. But according to Motor Racing magazine (May 1970) the rest of the boat is "pure Italian class".
Design and Specification
Powered by a choice of twin 325bhp Holman & Moody 427s or Mercruiser 482s with 390bhp top speed was claimed at over 50 knots.

FINO FOR SALE
One of a handful of surviving Fino 30s, I've owned SSR166769 since 2017. Imported from the USA, she had been recrafted to the highest of standards during a full refurbishment in 2015/16. Renamed "Fino" (was "Blue Ray") she is a showcase of power, beauty and pure command of the sea. Class exudes from the retro sheen of the navy/white hull to the splendid twin V8 Vortec/Mercury inboards, installed during her Miami makeover.

Dry-berthed when not in use, Fino has been meticulously cared for and subject to a thorough on-going regime of maintenance and improvements. As possibly the only example in Europe, she is now available for sale - or possible to co-ownership with the right interested party.
