My Fino
Introducing the magnificent Fino, the only one of its kind currently available in Europe. This striking boat, located in South Devon, UK, is a magnificent 1971 model, recrafted to the highest standards in 2015/16.
Fino is a showcase of power, beauty and pure command of the sea. Class exudes from the retro sheen of the navy/white hull to the splendid twin V8 Mercury inboards installed during its Miami makeover.
She is available for sale now, and the content below and via the links provided should provide the information prospective owners might need.
Owning a rare classic boat is an opportunity to be part of history. On my visits to numerous marinas it is so nice to see that surrounded by many modern crafts the boating community are keen to engage and talk about the beautiful lines, throaty engines and its sheer presence. I also own a 1967 Landrover and get more people who want to stop and talk about it than I ever have with some of my sportier cars.
Owning a classic is not for everyone and I hope the new owner will be keen to have fun, look after her and keep it ready until the next owner takes up the mantle

Recent history
USA - ITALY - UK
Registration DocumentFino (at the time named Blue Ray) was fully refurbished in 2015/16 in Miami, including the installation of the phenomenal twin V8 Mercury petrol inboard engines. She was then shipped to Italy, where I purchased her in 2017. With annual servicing and investment to a bow thruster, new decking and many other subtle improvements, she is an exceptional power boat that brings a smile to the face of everyone that sees, hears and rides in her.
An already exceptionally rare boat (fewer than 30 were produced), the appealing history and great specification make Fino arguably the finest example of a high performance cuddy cabin available to purchase. As far as we know she is also the only example of a Fino 30 in Europe.
Condition
FULLY REFURBISHED AND THOROUGHLY MAINTAINED
Full Survey ReportFino has been diligently maintained and cared for since she was imported to the UK, as evidenced by the documentation on the resources page. In May 2023 she underwent a full survey to confirm her condition and identify any further remedial works required. The survey report is available (button below). In his conclusion, the inspector said:
“Fino was generally considered to be structurally sound and in good order, with the new engine, port side gearbox and wiring having been fitted to a high standard.”
“She has benefitted from a programme of professional refurbishment works over recent years.”
All of the issue identified in his report (and referenced in the conclusion) have been rectified. He finished by saying”
“once this is done (sic), she should provide her new owner with many years of happy and safe cruising”.
How the Fino 30 was viewed and reviewed
accent heading
On its debut, the Fino 30 was hailed as a blend of high performance and opulent luxury. Yachting magazine in 1972 described it as "fast, expensive, and lavishly different." It quickly gained a reputation among the elite as a symbol of status and sophistication.
